The Plough bar & restaurant originally dates back to the 18th Century. With two bar areas serving the finest English guest ales and a large array of spirits and fine wines, it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink with friends or as just a couple. We have a split level dining room with over seating for over 90 diners at one time. With a selection of both British and continental dishes cooked by our experienced chef / patron Mr Colin Harrison, you are guaranteed a truly special dining experience.
We have a lovely open plan beer garden which, weather permitting, is available for drinks, bar snacks and also boasts a great childrens' play area.
Why not attend one our special event nights on our events field? Conveniently located at the rear of The Plough, the 10 acre events field is easily able to accomodate over 5000 guests. Boasting a large bar and food available under the comfort of a heated marquee, this is the perfect place for a large party, wedding or rally event.

Traditional Weddings at The Plough

We offer a full wedding service to make your special day as unique as you are. We can provide seat covers, table decorations, flowers, balloons and party favours. We can cater for 200 for a full sit down wedding breakfast and 350 for a buffet. We can also organise a dj, band or any other act you wish for your evening entertainment. Muslim and Sikh Weddings at The Plough

Our heated marquee is the perfect place for your marriage ceremony and wedding feast. We can provide decorations and fittings to ensure your day confirms with traditions and culture. Indoor Events

We hold many events throughout the year in addition to hiring it out for weddings and parties. As our marquee is heated and has its own bar, it is totally independent from the pub. Our Lithuanian Nights are proving to be very popular as well as our frequent gigs, themed music weekends, beer festivals and parties. Outdoor Events

Combining the marquee and the first field makes a fantastic versitle space for any function. We hold fireworks parties, familes only weekends, weddings, bike rallies and music festivals, though the useage is limitless. We have our own campsite with its own toilet block and water points. There is also a concrete lined fire pit for those chilly evenings when you're having far too much fun to go to sleep!
